Visiting here and mainly wanted to try some lobster rolls. This place did not disappoint. We started with a raw tower that had all sorts of goodies. I have to say the calamari salad was my favorite, it had some sesame oil in it that just made it. We ordered the crab cakes and the fried calamari. The crab cakes were some of the best i have ever had. The calamari was okay, I wasn't a fan of the sauce they used, I think a sweet chili sauce would pair better. As for the lobster roll, i had the best of both worlds version with cold lobster and hot butter and i loved it. My friends had a lobster roll and the seafood linguine. They both loved their meals as well. The service was top notch. The only recommendation i would have, is if people are only drinking water, bring out bigger glasses. The normal water glasses were like 4oz, so we were constantly getting refills. Other than that, this place was awesome and i would definitely return. Thanks guys
Nice seafood place. They have happy hour everyday at 3:30pm so I went for that. The food was good - fresh oysters, good fried shrimp and calamari, and drinks were also good. The space is spacious and large. Good for dates, catching up with friends, or a large get together. It was clean and modern inside with a huge raw bar near the entrance. Service is friendly and lovely and very accommodating. Would come here again for their oysters.
I had dinner with some coworkers while in the area for work and we were all very impressed with Max Fish! The server we had was absolutely top notch and I hate I don’t remember her name. Very attentive, friendly and quick to ask us for refills. The food was also very good and we sampled each other’s entrees to see which was best and the Atlantic Cod won the contest but all dishes were very good and no one left hungry or was unhappy with their meal. Overall we had an excellent experience at Max Fish and we plan to go back when we are in town next.
Fine dining restaurant with good service. Carlton our host was very friendly and helpful apart from other staff members who gazed at us as we looked visitors to the area, they weren’t friendly at all. Food was fresh and perfect. The mussels were succulent, the fish and ships were delicious and fried calamari was excellent as well. The paella was ok but lacked taste. Overall experience was very good apart from the weird totally unfriendly gaze from the reception staff. The second visit was far much better.
Such a fun atmosphere! Just a great happy hour. I had the Caesar salad, a half dozen oysters and the octopus à la plancha which was especially delicious! My friend loved the scallops à la plancha, p.s. spaetzle is so underrated. Back very soon.
Always a Top 10 experience! Drink specials were creative and delicious. Food was prepared exactly to order, presented beautifully, and tasted amazing. Angie was a great server. As out-of-towners, we don't get to visit very often, but we are delighted that our high expectations have been met every time for many, many years. Keep up the great work!
Consistent food, great vibe, and killer happy hour! After 4 visits, this place has proven to be incredibly consistent. The lobster roll and stuffed lobster are must-tries! I highly recommend coming during happy hour for the oyster specials—specifically any of the PEI oysters, which are excellent. The atmosphere is lively and great for social gatherings, though it's a bit too bustling for an intimate experience. Definitely a go-to spot for groups!
Very courteous service. The meals are composed of fresh ingredients and arranged in fashion that balances out well the taste of the fish along with the taste of natural herbs and the sauce mixture. The restaurant is located on the ground floor which makes it easily accessible for people with reduced mobility. The parking lot is vaste and accomodates well a high number of patrons.
Celebrated my wife's birthday here and she said the fjord salmon was the best seafood dish she has ever had in the US! The chilled seafood sampler was great, loved the acidity of the calamari bowl. Paella was good the rice was a bit underwhelming. The salmon was the highlight dish, the skin had that perfect glassy texture and overall complemented well with the pomegranate glaze. Not a single food item had that annoying 'American sweet' taste tends to favor the typical local pallete. Will return for sure! Thank you for making my wife's birthday lunch a memorable one!
